Dr Karyn Huntley
Expertise / Interests:
I grew up on a farm in rural Northern NSW. I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and subsequently completed my hospital and General Practice training. During this time, I developed my special interests in Women’s health, Antenatal Care, Mental health, Family health and Paediatrics.
I obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also did one year further training in an Acute Mental Health Unit in Northern New South Wales.
I am passionate about General Practice and really enjoy the challenge and responsibility of assisting patients with all aspects of health maintenance and therapy of illness.
I am married with three primary school children. I love family life and treasure the privilege of watching our children grow and learn. I understand personally the challenges of today’s busy life and the pressures associated with juggling busy schedules and lifestyles.
I have special interests in Women’s health, Antenatal Care, Mental health, Family health and Paediatrics.
Despite these particular interests, I regard myself as a holistic General Practitioner that understands the importance and impact of all aspects of our health on our overall psychological and physical well-being.
